You can never out give God.

You can never out give God is a statement that we hear all the time.  Here is a great story that Chris received by email this week.

Lisa & I wanted to share a thoughtful note we received from one of our donors.  They have asked to remain anonymous.  Proof that you can't "out give" God...

Chris, 

I have decided that we should all tithe 10% to the Lords work in some fashion or another, whether with your time, money or whatever you are able to give. 

I'm not going to lie, I have never really tithed a full 10% of my income. Last month I thought to myself, I should start.  But instead of tithing my current income, being that it was on the low side due to growing pains, I decided to, by faith, tithe the amount of money that I would like to make this year!

Since making this commitment, various types of people and circumstances have presented themselves, my business has picked up and I don't think that I will have a problem keeping my "faith promise". Thank You Lord!! 

I want to encourage anyone who may read this; If you are in a position to tithe the percentage of money that you would like to make this year, try it and see what happens.

God is GOOD! All the time!

Worldwide Missions

Worldwide Missions is something that almost every Christian knows about.  Some churches have yearly missions conferences where 4 or 5 missionaries come in and share their works. Other churches have missionaries in them all the time.  We are blessed to be in a church that has missionaries in regularly.

One Sunday night in August of 2008 I heard this missionary preaching that Jesus was a "cool dude" and the "rocking King James Version of the Bible."  He showed a great love for the people of Kenya.  They had great dreams of reaching the lost with the gospel, feeding and educating children and building clinics to help with the medical needs of the villagers.

That night my wife and I took Chris and Lisa to dinner to see how "real" they really were.  After dinner that night I realized that we had just been at a divine appointment.  Several times in the past I had said that I was not called to Africa, but God started working in my heart.  By March of 2009 we made our first trip to Kenya.  Since then we have been blessed to help the Moore's out in ministry for almost 5 years now. We have also been able to lead three missions teams to Kenya to work on the field with Chris and Lisa.

God is really doing some great things in their ministry.  Here are a few pictures of the completed buildings at Maasai Corner Ministries.  This church started under the big mango tree.  Through the help of many of you they now worship in a beautiful church building.  The church and childrens worship center also double as school classrooms during the week.  There is a beautiful clinic there where Lisa and medical missions teams can treat many patients.

Thank you Chris and Lisa for following God's call on your lives. Many Kenyans are being reached with the Gospel and many Americans have a whole different outlook on missions and life after making a trip over there.

TWO SMALL REASON WE ARE IN KENYA

Exactly three years ago this month, these twin girls (Nuru on left, and Penina on right) lost their father in a motorcycle accident.  Today all five children, (their two older brothers and their older sister) attend our school and their mother works in the Manna Feeding Center.  Because of the financial investment of our faithful donors, this broken family found the love and support they needed and are involved in this amazing ministry.  

People tell us that we will never be able to help everyone here.  That may be true but we are happy to take on the challenge, two little ones at a time!!
