2 more days!!!

TEARS......I try to hold them back but God releases them, burning down my cheek. My heart hurts, my breath is short, sadness surrounds me and words escape me. I yearn to return to those who love me most and yet I must "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God". Our excitement to get to Kenya will be the same to return to each of you. Lisa and I love all of you more than you will ever know.

Huge answer to prayer!!!

Work Permit for Kenya.

Huge Answer to Prayer!!! Our Work Permit was approved this morning in Nairobi. This is one of the few steps we have to take in order to be able to live and work in Kenya.

Special thanks to Lance Patterson, missionary in Nairobi for handling this for us. Pray the Visa and Resident ID Process goes smoothly also.

1 week left!!!!

It has been a FULL past week. We were able to visit our son in College Station and our daughter in San Antonio. On Friday night, we were able to say goodbye to all of our precious friends who have supported Real4Christ Ministries for the past two years in San Antonio. Wade & Cathy West hosted an incredible dinner for 82 people. 6 new people joined our team that night.

Last night after dinner in San Angelo, we almost hit a truck pulling out of the parking lot. A few minutes later, I received a phone call from the owner of the truck. It was Gerald & Gail Clark, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, San Angelo. I almost hit the pastor of a church I have been to twice and have been trying to get them to support us for the past year!!! The pastor said, "Well, this must be a sign from God, we will start supporting you next month if you promise not to run me over next time we meet!!" :) Yet ANOTHER "Divine Appointment" and blessing from God and another precious contributor to our ministry in Kenya.

This morning we were able to be with Pastor Phil Webber and the wonderful people of Lifepoint Church. We had a wonderful time with them in all three morning services. They have also decided to support us on a monthly basis. After church, a visiting couple blessed Lisa and I with a special love offering as well. What a GREAT week!!!

We now have ONE WEEK left here in the USA. It will be a very busy last week as we pack, preach, and say goodbye to many close friends and family members. Please keep us in your prayers specifically that the churches and people who have promised support will follow through and we will leave FULLY FUNDED.

We love you guys. Please STAY IN TOUCH.....

3 weeks left!!!

Lisa and I want to thank each of you for making 2009 the greatest year of our ministry yet. Yes we had some sad times, slow times, challenging times but God was ALWAYS in control. We could not have made it without you! We are leaving on Feb 1st and we can not wait to get there and begin what God started many years ago when He began shaping us for this very moment!

Please continue to pray for us each day that we would walk in His steps, that He would keep us safe and that we would share the love of Christ with every opportunity He provides. If you are one of our faithful supporters, please continue to be faithful in 2010. If you have not been able to give like you wanted this past year, pray that God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. He will if you will. For those of you who have never thought of giving to Real 4 Christ Ministries, please take one minute right now and think about it, better yet, pray about it. God will reveal to you what He wants you to do. He will show you the thousands of people who will be touched by any size donation you can give throughout the year. Lisa and I are able to do great things ONLY through your sacrificial giving each month.

We both love you and will miss you. Please email us, write us, FB us, Skype us, and send us care packages :) :) We really do want to stay in contact with each of you and it will keep us encouraged while we go through the tough days.

May God richly bless you beyond your dreams and provide for you like never before because of your sacrificial giving!

Mtepeni School

The Mtepeni school is just about complete. Things move a little slower in Kenya than here in the US. The doors need to be hung, touch up some paint, connect the electricity and move in the desk.

Chris and Lisa are counting down their last days here in the states. Feb. 1, 2010, they will be flying to their new home in Kenya. Please pray for safe traveling as they go to their final churches and fly to Kenya.

We are back in the USA

We had an amazing trip. Allow me re-cap some of the highlights. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday our two main objectives were to provide medical help and walk the village sharing Christ's love and inviting people to accept Christ as their personal Savior. The number of people ready to accept Christ were 97 (wow). Please pray that the seed we planted will be nurished by the Holy Spirit. The new believers in Mtepeni will be challanged in ways that are not familiar to us, we are fellow believers here in the US. Please continue to pray for all followers of Christ to be strenghtened by the Holy Spirit within us all. This is one of the trails we traveled.

We were all amazed by the work that is being done in Mtepeni, the new water well, now clean water is available. Many times the traveling distance to get water would be a mile or more; every day. These containers are re-used and carried on their heads. The new school is being built is educate the children of Mtepeni, it costs the parents $6.00 a month to send each child; that is alot of money and many children won't be able to attend because of it. Real 4 Christ is working on a way to help sponsor the children. We visited other schools and loved and played with lots and lots of childen.
Sorry we didn't keep this updated daily, among other challenges the internet was not working properly.
Blessed and Serving Him....Jaimi
