The latest from Maasai Corner.

Maasai Corner is the largest building project we have taken on at one time.  Three buildings all going up at once.  God has great things ahead for Maasai Corner Ministries.

The summer teams will be here before we know it and things will be super busy.

Thank You to everyone who has sacrificially given to this wonderful ministry!!!

The Shipping Container is FULL!!!

Hey Everyone!

Our container is almost packed & loaded and will be heading to Mombasa, Kenya in the very near future.  It will leave San Antonio for Houston on Tuesday!!! :-)

I wanted to personally thank everyone for their donations, assistance and prayers.  After much consideration, due to increased costs, we decided NOT to buy the container but rather rent it.  Unfortunately, the total shipping costs will exceed $10,000 by the time it is unloaded @ our ministry site in Mombasa.  Because of this, I am making one final request concerning the shipment costs of these much needed ministry items.  If you or anyone you know would like to join those who have already given financially, please go to www.real4christ.com to make a donation (via Check, CC or ACH or Paypal). If you like, you may designate it as "R4C shipping costs".

Thanks once again! I know I say this a lot, but it is true, "without you THERE, we could not be HERE"!

Please take a sec to read the note below from Bob Nicol, our Water Ministry Missionary.  He is the person that has worked the hardest on all this and will certainly be glad to see it heading this way.  Our ministry is so blessed to have him on board!

Today we counted 56 boxes of meds, enough to fill my entire truck bed, back and front seats (with barely enough room for me to drive (and see the mirrors), with the heaping boxes in the bed tied down, so as not to blow away (in the gathering storm and threatening rain)  All this the night before the load-out.

The container load-out day could not have gone smoother. "Mungu ni mwema!" God is Good!  Had 5 guys to help. 3 experienced movers, an ex-warehouse guy, and a forklift operator that Alan Pyle, President of Steelhead provided for the whole day.  See photos for details.  A HUGE thank you to all of them - Scott Adams, Jim, Cody, Greg, John Henderson, and Javier (fork lift operator).

Started at 9:30, when container arrived and everything was loaded, except for a handful of odds and ends that I need to palletize and shrink wrap, loaded  out at 3:30 PM!  Today, Saturday, I only need to go back and tie down the trailer better and secure the load with more straps, etc.  But we still have lots more room!  I'm picking up more meds on Monday, as I could not carry any more on Thursday night. Tell everyone they still have one day to get any last minute item to me before we close the doors.

Oh yeah, one more thing....it rained all day!!  But we did not let this slow us down. Alan had the great idea of dropping the trailer right in front of the overhead door.  So we worked in the dry, and with good light, all day!  Now he did this knowing that it would block one of only 2 entrances to his warehouse until next Tuesday, when they come to haul it to Houston. Just one of many incredibly graceful gestures.

I am so thankful for God's provision. The Load Day was nothing short of a miracle, at least in my mind.  How could I ever doubt?  God never ceases to amaze me, the way He works in our lives just blows me away.  Once again I am in awe of His love, His grace and compassion.  He REALLY does care for us!!!

I am confident that God loves Real 4 Christ Ministries and what we are accomplishing together both here in America and there in Kenya.

MANY BLESSINGS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

Great Progress at Maasai Corner!

They are making great progress on the buildings at Maasai Corner.  As I look through the pictures of the buildings and the men working I see so much more than the stone blocks being laid.  I see torn pants, bare feet and some empty eyes.  There is no way a construction project of this size could go on in the states without hard hats, steel toe work books, safety glasses and heavy equipment.  There would be fancy 4x4 trucks all over the place and guys on cell phones.  The brick mason on this job is probably making about $5-6.00 a day and the helper $2-3.00.  When these buildings are complete men, women and children from miles around will be able to come and hear the word of God.  Their hearts will be full as they receive Christ and on their faces we will see joy.

My prayer is that people here in the states will continue to support the ministries at Mbewau and Maasai Corner.  God has done great things in the Moore's ministry since they went to Kenya.  I have been blessed to go see these works three times and will make my fourth trip in June.  It is has been a life changing experience every time.

If you would like to join a team going to Kenya this summer please contact the Moore's. There are several spots left on a couple of different teams.  If your church is interested in going to Kenya in the future and would like more information please let Chris know(real4christ@gmail.com).  I promise that you will not come back the same way you left.

God Bless
